We are hiring! Join Our Team!

About Bicyclenation

Our mission is simple: help more people enjoy riding, keep their bikes in great shape, and create spaces where cycling really thrives. We’re a proudly independent bicycle company based in London. Alongside our friendly shop and workshop, we also run a Collect & Return service, host community events and demo days, and support organisations with bike facilities and fleet management. Our team reflects the people we serve, with kindness and inclusivity at the heart of everything we do - from how we greet customers to how we approach our work.

Open Positions:

  • The Role:

We’re looking for a friendly, detail-minded bicycle mechanic to join our team. You’ll diagnose issues, carry out repairs and safety checks, and help riders understand what their bikes need. If you like solving problems, working with people and being part of a tight team, you’ll feel at home here.

    What you’ll do

    • Diagnostics and M-check: Assess bikes thoroughly (including our extended M-check), identify common faults and spot bigger or unusual issues early.

    • Repairs and builds: Carry out services, repairs and upgrades across folding, road, MTB, cargo and high-end bikes; build and set up new bikes to spec.

    • Quality and safety: Deliver to our high standards, road-test when needed, finish with quality control before handover, and maintain a tidy, safe workshop.

    • Communication with Customers: Explain findings and options clearly, set expectations on cost and timelines, and keep notes up to date.

    • Parts and workflow: Flag required parts, help with ordering/picking, and keep jobs moving smoothly alongside teammates.

    What you’ll bring

    • A friendly and inclusive approach and genuine enjoyment of working with people.

    • Careful attention to detail; you listen first and make sure you understand the problem and the rider’s needs.

    • Curiosity and openness to keep learning (new tech, tools, brands).

    • Team spirit: You like pitching in and celebrating small wins together.

    • Solid cycling background and hands-on workshop experience. FOH/customer-facing experience is a big plus.

    • A specialisation or “edge” helps (e.g., road, MTB, cargo, e-bike, high-end builds).

    • Familiarity with major brands and components; strong mechanical understanding.

    • Confident in diagnosing common issues and uncovering bigger/special faults.

    • Able to carry out full assessments to deliver our extended M-check.

Hours of employment: Full-time (with weekend rotation) or strong part-time

    considered.

Start: ASAP – though we’re happy to wait for the right person.

    Salary: Competitive, depending on experience.

Benefits: Staff discounts, training opportunities, and a supportive, inclusive small team environment.

    How to apply:

Fill in the contact form or send your CV to aga@bicyclenation.co.uk, along with a short paragraph about yourself in your own words. If you have a favourite “quick win” repair or a niche you love (road/MTB/cargo/high-end), include that too.

  • The Role

We’re looking for a people-focused teammate to keep things running smoothly at the front of house, while lending a hand with small mechanical jobs when needed. You’ll enjoy welcoming a diverse cycling community, explaining jobs clearly, and keeping the day flowing between the shop and workshop. If you value friendly service, tidy systems, and clear, inclusive communication, you’ll fit right in.

    What you’ll do

    • Customer care and check-in: Welcome customers, answer questions, check in bikes, agree the work and set expectations clearly – always in a kind and helpful way.

    • Workflow and systems: Allocate jobs to mechanics, track progress between shop and workshop, and keep our systems and parts/ordering book neat and up to date.

    • Quality and handover: Quality Check (QC) bikes before they go back to customers, flag any issues, keep spaces safe and tidy, and make sure bikes are collected promptly.

    • Quick fixes and updates: Handle punctures, fit accessories, and carry out minor adjustments. Update customers regularly, so they’re clear on progress and timings.

    What you’ll bring

    • At least two years in a customer-facing role: bicycle sector experience preferred.

    • Excellent organisational skills and confidence with stock handling.

    • A calm, can-do attitude and a genuine passion for helping people ride more.

    • A team player who’s flexible and ready to lend a hand across different tasks.

    • Bonus: a UK driving licence.

Hours of employment: Full-time (with weekend rotation) or strong part-time considered.

Start: ASAP – though we’re happy to wait for the right person.

    Salary: Competitive, depending on experience.

Benefits: Staff discounts, training opportunities, and a supportive, inclusive small-team environment.

    How to apply

Fill in the Form or send your CV to aga@bicyclenation.co.uk, along with a short paragraph about yourself in your own words – tell us what makes you tick and the key things you’d like us to know.
