Cycle to Work schemes

If your workplace offers a Cycle to Work scheme, we can help you use it for a bike that suits real London riding. Bring us your scheme details and we'll help you choose the right bike and accessories, prepare your quote, and redeem your approved voucher in store.

What is a Cycle to Work scheme?

Cycle to Work is a salary sacrifice benefit arranged through your employer. In broad terms, your employer's scheme provider helps you hire a bike and eligible cycling equipment, with payments usually taken from your salary before tax and National Insurance are calculated.

It can be used for everyday commuter bikes, e-bikes, cargo bikes and useful accessories, as long as your employer and scheme provider approve the quote. The exact saving, limit, repayment period and end-of-scheme options depend on your employer and provider.

Estimate your Cycle to Work saving

This calculator is provided by Cyclescheme, so treat it as a guide. Your final saving depends on your employer, tax band, provider rules and end-of-scheme option.

How it works

  1. Check which Cycle to Work provider your employer uses.
  2. Choose the bike and accessories you want, then ask us for a quote.
  3. Apply through your employer's scheme portal using the quote details.
  4. Once approved, send or bring us the voucher and we'll help you complete the order.
  5. We'll build and safety-check the bike before collection, or before any delivery we've arranged with you.

Cycle to Work FAQs

Can I use Cycle to Work for an e-bike or cargo bike?

Often, yes. E-bikes are included in Cycle to Work guidance, and many providers support cargo bikes too. Your employer or provider may still set its own spending limit or rules, so it's worth checking before you apply.

Can I include accessories?

Eligible cycling safety equipment can usually be included. That can cover practical commuting kit such as locks, lights, mudguards, luggage carriers, panniers, helmets and repair essentials, depending on your provider and employer's rules.

How much will I save?

Your saving depends on your tax band, National Insurance, scheme provider, employer rules and end-of-scheme option. Your provider's calculator is the best place to check the exact figure before applying.

What happens at the end of the scheme?

Your provider and employer set the end-of-scheme route. Depending on the scheme, that may include extending the hire, returning the bike, or transferring ownership at a fair market value.

What if my provider is not listed?

Ask us before you apply. We may still be able to help, and if we can't accept a voucher we'll tell you early so you don't waste time on the wrong route.

Does my employer need to be signed up first?

Yes. Cycle to Work is arranged through your employer, so check which provider or benefits portal they use before you apply. If your workplace is not set up yet, speak to your HR or benefits team first, then come back to us when you know the route they want to use.

Is there a spending limit?

There is no single shop-wide limit. Current government guidance does not set a tax and National Insurance value limit for eligible cycles and safety equipment, but your employer or provider may set its own limit. Check that limit before choosing a higher-value e-bike, cargo bike or accessory package.
